Deerborn from Odense, Denmark who has recently played this year’s Reeperbahn Festival in Hamborg, is releasing their debutalbum in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on October 28th. We celebrate it by releasing the 3rd single from their acclaimed debut.

In the words of lead singer Lasse Nørby:
“Awaken is one of those songs that are hard and dangerous to define, as it can easily take on shapes in the same form as the listeners thoughts. The song was originally written as a political "wake up" song, but has to me personally, transformed into more of an anthem of daily life. If you come across injustice and despair, and you can bleed and scream from the top of your lungs, are you not obliged to at least try to make a difference? Maybe things will change, but maybe the world is waiting for everybody else to change it, and you end up waiting forever. But there is also a scent of hope and faith that things can change and problems can be solved - the question remains - how much are you willing to sacrifice? Don't we all have a tendency to let our outrage for injustice end where our selfishness begins? "My sweet defiance - awaken!"
